Dear Families & Caregivers,
Did you know that Thursday Feb 6th is National Sweater Day? Since 2010, WWF has recognized the first Thursday of February as National Sweater Day. Jack James will be participating by turning down our thermostat 1.5° C to raise awareness about energy consumption & reflect on contributions to limiting global temperature rise to 1.5C. So don’t forget to wear your wooliest sweaters on Thursday to keep warm, and swing by the Green Team’s booth in the cafeteria on lunch to make a Pledge for the Planet
A quick reminder for students to stop by last semester's classes to collect any work that you might have left behind. Teachers will only hold on to it for a few more days.
Sincerely,
Jack James Admin

Things to note:
Jack James Graduation List
The grad list will be posted in Guidance on the bulletin board and in the cafeteria on the window. It is listed by last name using CBE number. Being on the list does not mean a student is receiving their diploma or certificate, but that they are within one semester of it and are eligible to walk the stage and attend graduation. Please encourage students to check in with their guidance counsellor to see if they are on track to receive their diploma or certificate in June.
SAIT's "Exploring Skilled trades"
Are you interested in the trade and technology fields but not sure where to start? As a CBE student you have access to SAIT's "Exploring Skilled trades" interactive portal which examines and explains various options. Log in to the portal within the red rectangle which says, "Register now". Show your parents if they are curious as well!

Looking for a Summer Job?
Exam and Completion Weeks are a GREAT time to visit Ms. Bechert in the Guidance area if you are interested in pursuing a summer job related to the trades, setting up your Careers Next Generation Portal, or discussing future Unique Pathways opportunities. Write your name on the sheet outside her office!
