Construction (Building) 10

Construction Building 10-4 will give students a strong foundation in the woodworking and construction systems trades for future opportunities in this sector.  Specific emphasis is placed upon shop safety and learning the tools, machines and techniques of the woodworking and constructions systems trades.

Wood Frame Construction 20 and 30

Pre-requisite: Construction 10

Wood Frame Construction provides students with a ‘real-world’ experience in manufacturing homes/structures for residential use.  Students in the intermediate (20-4), advanced (30-4) and CTS building (20/30) will construct a residential home for Homes-By-Avi that will be sold in the commercial market. This innovative and award-winning partnership provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in this high demand sector.

Autobody 15, 25 and 35

Autobody 15 students will explore introductory concepts related to Autobody best practice.  Students will gain a foundation in use and familiarity with Autobody tools, surface preparation, forming and finishing, as well as welding fundamentals.  Students in the intermediate 25 and advanced 35 levels will utilize these skills on project and customer cars.  Upon completion, students will be industry ready and have the opportunity to explore Registered Apprenticeships and post-secondary opportunities.
